Sylvan Learning Multi-Unit Owners Awarded Three New Territories in Iowa

March 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // BALTIMORE - Sylvan Learning awarded three new territories in the Des Moines, Iowa, area to April Samp and Jeff Hohensee, franchise owners with four existing centers throughout the state. The first center will open in Ankeny in 2024.

Samp is an Iowa native and majored in journalism and communication studies at Iowa State University. She has worked in advertising and as a broadcast news journalist in several markets throughout the United States. In 2020, she partnered with Hohensee and began her journey as a Sylvan franchise owner.

“I’m proud to open more Sylvan centers in my home state,” said Samp. “These new territories will reach neighborhoods that are currently underserved and commuting to our other centers. I have every confidence in my team that we will provide the same level of service and results that families have come to expect in our existing locations.”
