Signs Plus+ Earns 3M/UASG Installer Certification

One of a kind in South Dakota, and one of only 97 companies nationwide, to be certified by 3M and the United Applications Standard Group for quality vehicle graphics, floor graphics and wall mural graphic installations.

The UASG is the country's leading group of professional graphic installers. This hard-won certification allows Signs Plus + Graphics to provide clients with the "Total 3M Warranty Solution."

Located in the Gilrich Village Mall in Sioux Falls, Signs Plus + Graphics has been in operation since 2005. Hogstad announced the newly-earned distinction to his fellow Sign Biz members last week. (Sign Biz, Inc. is the world's largest network of royalty-free digital sign and graphics businesses, with 170 network members throughout the U.S. and six foreign countries. They are renowned for their industry partnerships.).

Typically not one to toot his own horn, Hogstad offered congratulations to his right-hand man Brett Boltjes. Hogstad chose Boltjes to travel to the 3M facility in St. Paul to do the hands on and written portion of the testing, the final step along the route to certification.

Hogstad also thanked Mike Quigley, another long term Sign Biz member, "who helped guide Signs Plus + Graphics in preparation for this endeavor." Quigley, co-owner with his wife, Linda Levitan, of Sign-Age in Clearwater, Florida, has been in business for 15 years, and was certified by 3M and the UASG back when there were only 50 companies in the country who had completed the process. He encouraged Hogstad to pursue the lengthy 3-step procedure, telling him, "it was the best investment we ever made."

Hogstad, who began the process last February and was awarded the honor April 28th, said, "One of the niches we've worked at developing over the last 5 years has been vehicle graphics. We do full wraps and partial wraps. We have good designers and good applicators and, as time has gone by, we've attracted more and more National business. When people called, they use to ask if we had 3M certification, and we had to say, 'no.' Well, now we can say ,'Yes.' We're pretty darn excited. And, along with that, we've got the backing of 3M."
