Multi-Brand Operator Acquires 62 Sonic Drive-In Locations In Alabama And Florida

Mega operator Quality Restaurant Group (QRG) is on the move once again, this time snapping up 62 Sonic Drive-In locations in Florida and Alabama. 

The mega operator’s restaurant portfolio has expanded by 75 percent in the last year by adding approximately 150 restaurants including Pizza Hut, Arby’s, and Moe’s Southwest Grill locations. The company is now one of the country’s largest multi-unit franchisee organizations with 345 restaurants and 10,000 employees in 15 states. The new Sonic acquisition includes locations in Tuscaloosa, Mobile, the panhandle of Florida, and down the east and west coasts of Florida.

Quality Restaurant Group is based in Greensboro, North Carolina and operates 67 Moe’s Southwest Grill restaurants in Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia; nearly 200 Pizza Hut restaurants in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and Pennsylvania; and 27 Arby’s locations in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
