Dollar and Thrifty launching new international Web sites
TULSA, Okla. /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG), is pleased to announce that its subsidiaries, Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental, have formed a new partnership with Ireland-based car rental technology firm, CarTrawler, to significantly expand the number of international Web sites the brands currently support. Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group has already upgraded and re-launched the first two sites, Prepaid.Thrifty.co.uk and Dollar.co.uk, on the new CarTrawler platform. Additionally, plans with CarTrawler include re-launching the Dollar and Thrifty Canada and Latin America sites by the end of the year.
The CarTrawler-powered Web sites will provide global Dollar and Thrifty customers with the convenience of booking and fully paying in advance for their rentals as well as market-specific products on Web sites designed for specific countries, utilizing their languages and currencies. Not only will customers reserving cars through the sites find the online booking process quick and easy, they will experience a much faster and seamless pick-up process as a result of being able to prepay.
