TGA Premier Junior Golf Franchise Acquired in Indianapolis

“Off The Wall Sports” adds youth golf development program.

February 17, 2012 // Franchising.com // INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Father and Son team, Dan and Jeff Moulton, owners of “Off The Wall Sports,” a popular indoor sports facility in Carmel, Indiana, has acquired the TGA Premier Junior Golf franchise in Hamilton and Boone County, located just north of Indianapolis.

TGA, an innovative full service youth sports organization, is one of the leading initiatives to grow the game of golf. It is the only national after-school enrichment junior golf program in the nation.

“Dale and Jeff’s experience working with youth sports at their “Off The Wall Sports” facility will serve them well growing golf in the Indianapolis area,” said Joshua Jacobs, founder and CEO of TGA Premier Junior Golf. He added, “TGA is excited to have the Moulton’s, who are passionate about youth and sports, acquire the Hamilton and Boone County franchise.”

Dale Moulton has been a fixture in Indianapolis youth sports development for the past 16 years since he built the “Off The Wall Sports” facility. Moulton, who was a computer consultant and coach for his son Jeff’s soccer team, saw a lack of facilities in the city devoted to indoor soccer and practice.

When the facility first opened, it catered mainly to adult and youth travel soccer leagues. In order to adapt to changing times, the Moulton’s began focusing on other sports for kids who did not travel. They added additional summer camp programs and also acquired a youth soccer franchise called Lil’ Kickers, which uses soccer as a tool to enhance motor and social skills.

“We are very optimistic about adding TGA to our facility and working with the youth of Hamilton and Boone County,” said Jeff Moulton. “The TGA franchise fits perfectly with our business model, allowing us to branch out in our community through the schools to help grow the game of golf. It also enables us to get involved with kids by helping to enhance their lives through sports. It keeps them active and fit, and they learn life skills.”

TGA’s Five Level Enrichment Program empowers kids to advance from one stage to the next while building self-esteem. Moreover, the program promotes each pupil’s ability to grow and learn the game while enabling each student to improve in school. TGA’s unique curriculum includes academic lessons in math, science, history and English.

The Moulton’s are already running programs in over eight schools in the area with more expected sign up in the near future. In addition, there will also be summer camps at Pebble Brook Golf Club in Noblesville, as well as programs to be held at “Off The Wall Sports.” In 2011, TGA of Hamilton and Boone County had over 400 kids participate in its programs.
