The Joint Chiropractic Donates To South Carolina Chiropractic Association Flood Fund

Carolina - In the wake of South Carolina’s devastating 1,000-year flood, The Joint Chiropractic, a leader in chiropractic care, has rallied in support of South Carolina Doctors of Chiropractic. Franchisees of The Joint, representing 18 South Carolina and Georgia clinics, donated a total of $1,800 to the relief fund and encouraged others to participate. The Joint Corp., franchisor for The Joint Chiropractic, matched these funds, for a total donation of $3,600. A check was presented to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association Flood Fund at the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations in Charleston on Friday, November 13.

The catastrophic floods, which occurred following record rainfalls over the better part of five days in early October, resulted in total estimated damages of more than $1 billion. More than two feet of rain fell in some parts of the state leading to the unprecedented damage.

“When events such as this occur, it is important for everyone to rally together as a community,” said Dr. James Edwards, Chief Chiropractic and Compliance Officer for The Joint Corp. “We are hopeful that this donation will help South Carolina chiropractors affected by the flood get past these difficult days and get their businesses up and running again so they can continue to deliver needed pain relief and wellness treatments to the residents of their areas.”
