Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad Receives Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence Award

Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad was awarded the national Design Excellence Award.

RICHMOND, VA. (PRWEB) April 30, 2019 - Greg McNeer, owner of Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad, received the national Archadeck Outdoor Living’s Design Excellence Award for an outdoor porch, roof structure and outdoor fireplace. This national contest recognizes design excellence among its franchise locations across the United States and Canada.

Located in Summerfield, North Carolina, these homeowners love their backyard and wooded lot and were looking for an outdoor space where they could comfortably enjoy watching the wildlife and hearing the birds sing. Their previous deck was small and worn, so they called Archadeck to custom design a space where they could spend more quality time outside.

Greg McNeer consulted with the homeowners to understand their goals and provide the best solution for their needs. McNeer designed an Azek dual-tone porch with roof that used engineered beams for the gable roof. Skylights were added to the tongue-and-groove ceiling to maximize natural light and the beautiful views.

McNeer also used Westbury Verti-Cable railing to surround the entire outdoor living area, which allows the homeowners to view the backyard without any obstruction. A custom stone veneer gas fireplace is the focal point of the open porch, which is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing. Finally, rope lighting was added around the entire space to cast a warm, ambient light after the sun goes down.
