School of Rock Tucson is Ready to Rock N’ Roll

Tucson’s grand opening event includes guitar smashing, live performances, food trucks and more

August 24, 2023 // Franchising.com // TUCSON, AZ. - School of Rock will be celebrating the grand opening of its newest school in Tucson, AZ, with an event taking place at 6586 E Grant Rd., on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 am - 1 pm MT. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer performances by the School of Rock staff, a food truck, a raffle and more.

School of Rock Tucson is owned by John Sacia. Growing up, Sacia actively participated in high school and college music programs, which inspired him to attain a degree in music education. He was particularly captivated by School of Rock's music education approach, which helps children form life-long connections through the power of music. In addition to running the music school, Sacia currently serves in the Arizona Air National Guard as an F-16 Instructor Pilot in Tucson. This dual commitment underscores his unwavering dedication to applying his passions and talents to better the lives of others.

“We're looking forward to being part of this friendly community and sharing the joy of music through the patented School of Rock Method™ in Tucson,” said Sacia. “In today's times, there's a shared desire for more meaningful connections and given the increasing complexity of today's society, this is more important than ever for today's generation.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“John is passionate about School of Rock and the Tucson community. We look for potential School of Rock franchise owners who are eager to provide opportunities for students to further their music education, and John does just that,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “I look forward to watching School of Rock Tucson grow as its students thrive.”
