Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream Celebrates Ogden Grand Opening

November 03, 2023 // Franchising.com // Ogden, UT - Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, one of the leading ice cream brands in the quick-serve industry, will welcome a new location in Ogden, UT, and will celebrate all for a great cause. A grand opening celebration for the new Ogden Handel’s will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023, which will benefit the Family Promise of Ogden. The festivities will take place at 4021 Riverdale Rd. starting at 12 p.m.

The Ogden Handel’s will be led by a franchisee team including Bill and Leslie Reiser, Zach and Erika Jacobs, Jeff and Meghan Parrish, and Brad and Brianna Hendrix. The group has been working in the healthcare industry for over the past 15 years and the addition of Handel’s enables them to diversify their portfolio.

“We decided to join the Handel’s franchise team to continue to provide northern Utah with the best homemade ice cream in the industry. We love sharing Handel’s with the community,” said Bill Reiser, Co-owner of the Ogden Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. “We wanted to bring Handel’s ice cream to the biggest city north of Salt Lake because so many customers were asking for it in their community. Our location on Riverdale Road places us in the middle of the most premier eateries in the area, which needed a great dessert option to compliment the food offerings.”

The Ogden Handel’s grand opening will also feature Handel’s swag giveaways, Free Cone Cards, and a chance to win Free Ice Cream for a Year.

The November 9 celebration will also be giving back to a great cause as 20% of proceeds will be donated to Family Promise of Ogden. The local nonprofit provides shelter and support to homeless families particularly those with young children.

“We find it very important to support the charities in the communities where we serve,” said Leslie Reiser, Co-owner of the Ogden Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. “We couldn’t be prouder of this partnership with such an incredible organization that is doing vital work in our area.”

The new location boasts 2,800 sq. ft. and will feature local and seasonal flavors including Black Cherry, Buckeye, Coffee Chocolate Chip, Graham Central Station, Oree-Dough, Salty Caramel Truffle, and more. The store will offer dine-in, pickup, delivery, and catering.

Throughout the Spring and Summer, the Ogden location will operate from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. every Monday to Saturday and 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. every Sunday. Winter hours will be from noon – 9 p.m. every Monday to Saturday and 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. every Sunday.
