July 14, 2007 - Aberdeen, SD– Kitchen Tune-Up, the creator of patented surface reconditioning technology for updating kitchens and baths, has awarded Steve and Mary LaRose, Minneapolis area franchise owners, with the prestigious Project of the Year award.
The honor was presented at Kitchen Tune-Up's annual convention, January 27th in Anaheim, CA. To qualify for this award, a franchise must have won a Project of the Month award in the previous year. The twelve potential project winners are then voted on by the full franchise system, consisting of over 300 locations. In addition to the award and system recognition, the LaRose's were also presented with an all expense paid cruise for two.
Factors looked at in judging include how impressive or drastic a change was achieved, what unique features were used and the overall satisfaction of the client served. The winning kitchen project took a boxy 1970's era build and transformed it into a true showpiece. Key features included new cabinets in a custom maple finish, roll out trays, a tip out tray divider and wall mounted spice rack. A granite countertop and island were installed with all new appliances as well as new tile on the floor and backsplash.
