Heather Stankard opened her first Blo Blow Dry Bar location in 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. Under a new agreement just signed, she will open 6 more locations in the Sunshine State. She is set to open her next one in Jacksonville in the fourth quarter of 2021, with additional locations opening across northern Florida, Gainesville, and Tallahassee.
Stankard is a Florida native who has lived in Jacksonville for nearly 30 years. The former stay-at-home mom was itching to get back into a people-centric career and fulfill a dream of running her own local business. She discovered Blo Blow Dry Bar as a guest and then bought the location in 2018. Her location has experienced significant growth over the past couple of years.
“I knew I needed to make a big change in my life and the Blo Blow Dry Bar opportunity couldn’t have come at a more perfect time,” said Stankard. “I drove by my local salon every day as it was being built, eagerly awaiting its opening, and became hooked after my very first blowout. I grew such a connection with the company and its employees so I started researching everything I could. Even with a background in nursing, I felt supported every step of the way by the Blo Blow Dry Bar corporate team. I never would’ve signed on for more stores if it wasn’t for them.”
Since opening its first location in Canada in 2007, Blo Blow Dry Bar has grown to more than 130 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
