Pizza Inn Opens 52nd International Store; 3rd in Honduras

For a brand that calls itself "America's Hometown Pizza Place," Pizza Inn certainly is making a name for itself in other countries. Its newest foreign location, and its third in Honduras with franchisee Eldon Hyde of Sun Restaurant Group, opened in November. The new restaurant is located on a gorgeous Caribbean island north of mainland Honduras and southeast of Mexico's "Mayan Riviera."

"My first two Pizza Inn locations in Roatán have experienced great success, so we are excited to open a third on the island," said Hyde. "We've hired a great team and we are all looking forward to serving freshly made pizzas to the community."

The new restaurant is Pizza Inn's 52nd international location. According to the company's website, it has restaurants in 9 countries, with a strong presence in the Middle East. The company plans to open new locations in additional countries, including China and other parts of the Asia/Pacific region.

Pizza Inn, part of Rave Restaurant Group (which also franchises Pie Five Pizza), operates more than 200 restaurants domestically and internationally. Founded in 1958 and franchising since 1961, the company has been inducted into the Pizza Hall of Fame by PMQ Pizza magazine.
