Menomonee Falls, WI – Cousins Subs recently announced its newest area developer, Kate Krutz, for the Phoenix, Ariz., area. Originally from Menomonee Falls, Wis., headquarters of Cousins Subs Systems, Inc., Krutz joined Cousins Subs as a store owner in Phoenix two years ago.
Krtuz's restaurant experience includes working with McDonald's for 28 years on both the franchise and corporate side of the worldwide fast-food organization.
"As far as being a franchise owner, I frequently compare Cousins Subs to McDonald's," said Krutz. "Granted McDonald's is bigger, Cousins Subs provides so much more support for its franchisees than I have ever been accustomed to, and the company is focused on cultivating a strong relationship with each of its owners."
After two years of success with her first sub-shop, she decided to join Cousins Subs' area development team where she will be responsible for the expansion of the Cousins Subs brand in the Phoenix area.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Kate's restaurant experience joining our area developer team," said John Campbell, vice president of global development and chief development officer for Cousins Subs. "We look forward to her continued success."
"I have been working in the restaurant business for nearly 30 years, and I have been very impressed with Cousins Subs franchise program," said Krutz. "The Cousins Subs corporate team and the timing were perfect for me to join and bring the brand to the next level."

About Cousins Subs
Cousins Subs is based in Milwaukee, Wis., and is a national sub sandwich chain with stores throughout the Midwest and on the West Coast. The tradition of Cousins Subs started in 1972, when two transplanted cousins from Atlantic City saw the need for an East coast–style sub shop in their new hometown. They patterned their subs after the hoagie, grinder, hero and sub sandwiches they enjoyed back East. And with a dedication to delivering quality subs at fair prices, they opened their first restaurant. From the start, the two used bread baked fresh every morning and insisted on using only the finest, freshest ingredients.
Wisconsin-based Cousins Subs® is driven by the mission to Believe in Better, both in the quality of food it serves and in the communities it supports.
