Over 25 Organizations Will Receive Funding
August 27, 2007 // Franchising.com // ST. LOUIS--Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation is awarding cash grants totaling over $130,500 to 29 domestic pet programs across the United States. Funding for the grants is provided by the Bearemy Kennel Pals® program. With the sale of each full-sized Bearemy's Kennel Pals® friend—a collection of Build-A-Bear Workshop® plush dogs—one dollar is donated to local animal shelters, stray pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and pet education programs.
"Build-A-Bear Workshop Guests are helping real pets just by making a Bearemy's Kennel Pals furry friend. It is a privilege to partner with Guests in supporting organizations that lend a helping paw to pets," said Dorrie Krueger, president of the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation.
