Boost Juice Bars Australia CEO Simon McNamara departs, but retains interest.

November 01, 2007 // Franchising.com // Boost Juice Bars' CEO, Simon McNamara, has opted to leave the juice and smoothie empire after nearly three years at the helm.

Simon joined the business when Boost acquired his Viva Juice Bar business in 2004, becoming CEO in 2005.

Since then he has helped build the business into a global entity, with over 200 stores in Australia and around the world.

Simon will consult back to Boost Investment Group's new acquisition, Salsa, a Mexican food chain which currently has four stores around Australia.

He will then travel overseas with his young family for a year from March 2008.

Jeff Allis will take over the reigns as Boost Australia's CEO, running the business day-to-day with his wife and founder of Boost Juice Bars, Janine Allis.

"Simon made a great contribution to the brand growth cycle of Boost Australia and leave us in great shape," Jeff said.

Boost Juice Bars

Boost brand concept was born in 1998 when Janine Allis accompanied her husband to the USA. There she researched the growing phenomenon of the juice and smoothie market and realised there was a huge gap for a healthy fast food alternative in Australia. Once returning to Australia, she developed the concept and trialled Boost's first store in King William St, Adelaide. Now Boost Juice Bars has 200 stores around the world, and have created products for the grocery market. Their philosophy: "love life", their ambition: to be one of the world's most loved brands. www.boostjuicebars.com
