ServiceMaster, based in Memphis, Tenn., will announce a substantial financial commitment to minority franchise development during its "Fulfilling the Dream" reception April 2, 2008, at the Peabody Hotel. A commitment check will be made to the Shane Battier Franchise Scholarship initiative, just prior to the National Action Network's "Keepers of the Dream" banquet, hosted by the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Memphis-based minority franchise owners and 2008 Shane Battier Franchise Scholarship recipients will be available for interviews to give their first-hand accounts of the positive impact the ServiceMaster commitment has made on their lives, and the actions they have taken to build a successful franchise. ServiceMaster executives who are driving the diversity development initiative will also be available for comment.
