Haagen-Dazs Reserve(R) Series Introduces Fleur de Sel Caramel Ice Cream

Fleur de sel are delicate crystals of sea salt carefully hand-harvested from the top layers of salt found in the marshes of Brittany, along the northwestern coast of France. Unlike regular table salt, which can taste harsh and acrid by comparison, fleur de sel has a delectably subtle, nuanced salt flavor that's especially delightful when teamed with creamy caramels, as the French have discovered.

Fleur de Sel Caramel ice cream from the Haagen-Dazs Reserve Series, takes this sophisticated confectionary combination to the freezer case, with a luscious caramel ice cream base, threaded with ribbons of caramel sauce, and laced with silky bites of buttery, fleur de sel caramels dipped in chocolate and dispersed throughout.

Combing the world over for the finest ingredients and combining them into deliciously distinctive flavor profiles is the hallmark of the Haagen-Dazs Reserve Series, a line of celebrated superpremium, all natural ice cream launched in 2007. Last year, the exclusive ice cream line was sold only in select markets and in limited quantities. • Amazon Valley Chocolate Ice Cream - A distinctive and creamy chocolate ice cream. Naturally lighter in color, Amazon Valley cocoa beans deliver an intense flavor with notes of roasted chestnuts and hazelnuts.
  
• Brazilian Acai Berry Sorbet - A tantalizing sorbet crafted from the rare and complex Acai (ah-sigh-ee) berry. The deep red fruit delivers notes of blackberries and sweet blueberries.
  
• Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle Ice Cream - Ginger-infused sesame brittle folded into a luxurious ice cream with fresh-shaved coconut, lightly toasted and then steeped in rich cream and coconut milk.
  
• Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bar - A distinctive ice cream bar that pairs a dark chocolate coating with Pomegranate ice cream. Both sweet and tart, it delivers a complex but clean finish.
