June 28, 2010 // Franchising.com // Shreveport, La. — Smashburger, a fast-casual "better burger" restaurant will open its first Shreveport location on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. The restaurant will open at 7503 Youree Drive, Suite 500, in Regal Court and is the first of two Shreveport-Bossier area Smashburgers slated to open over the next year. Smashburger will offer juicy burgers made-to-order with 100-percent Certified Angus Beef, savory Smashchicken sandwiches and crisp Smashsalads as well as an array of Smashsides and delicious Häagan Dazs shakes.

Known for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers start at $3.99 with a one-fourth, one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Certified Angus Beef fresh—not frozen—smashed on a flat grill to sear in superior juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of flavorful cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.
Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious crispy or grilled Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs, and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries.
