FORT COLLINS, CO --(Marketwire - April 18, 2011) - What's 420 without the munchies? For the 13th straight year, Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs will host the nation's largest commercial celebration of 420, a holiday dedicated to those who enjoy the "high" life of cannabis culture.
This year Cheba Hut plans to serve over 15,000 toasted subs on April 20, shattering last year's record of 10,000. The company will offer customers a 420 special featuring a four inch sub, chips and a drink for $4.20. As an added bonus, all meals will be served on collectable 2011 Cheba frisbees. In total, the company plans on handing out 18,000 frisbees throughout the entire day.
Cheba Hut currently has 14 locations in six states -- Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico and Oregon. All-day festivities are planned at each location, including activities such as ranch dressing and pickle juice chugging contests, sub eating contests, Kool-Aid dunk tanks and swimming pools and edible rice crispy treats sculptures on display. There will also be 35 bands playing throughout the Cheba Hut system.
