Roetzel Partner Marshal Pitchford Named to Governor's Judicial Review Committee

October 26, 2012 - Roetzel is proud to announce that Partner Marshal Pitchford was appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich to his Judicial Review Committee for the selection of Ohio's next Supreme Court justice.

Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton is retiring at the end of 2012, two years before the expiration of her term. In order to fill the vacancy on the bench, Governor Kasich announced that he would accept applications for the position through November 16, 2012. The Judicial Review Committee members will assist the Governor in vetting candidates by reviewing applications and interviewing candidates. Mr. Pitchford is one of only seven Ohio attorneys selected by the Governor to assist him in this process.

Mr. Pitchford's practice primarily focuses on transportation litigation, government relations and commercial litigation. He has a wide range of experience working for clients in both the private and public sectors. In addition to his work for Roetzel, Mr. Pitchford serves as the Law Director for the Village of Boston Heights.

Named to The Best Lawyers in America® for Transportation Law (2010-2013) and Commercial Litigation (2013), Mr. Pitchford also holds an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He has also been named an "Ohio Super Lawyers - Rising Star" (2009-2012) by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine.
