ColorTyme Opens Registration for 2013 National Convention

November 05, 2012 // Franchising.com // PLANO, Texas  – ColorTyme, America’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, has begun registration for its 2013 National Convention, which will be held from Jan. 20 – 23 in Frisco, Texas.

This year’s theme is “Launching the Future”, which highlights ColorTyme’s vision to continue to grow and prosper in the coming years, with presentations and sessions focused on the strategies and goal setting that are necessary to continue these successes. The registration link for both vendors and attendees for the 32nd edition of ColorTyme’s National Convention can be accessed at http://www.geiaus.com/colortyme.

“This convention is coming at a very exciting time in our company’s 33-year history,” said ColorTyme CEO Cathy Skula. “We are experiencing unprecedented success, and we look forward to sharing our plans and goals for ‘Launching the Future’ of ColorTyme. With more vendors attending than ever before, along with our franchisee attendees, this event is certain to be outstanding.”

The keynote speaker for this year’s Convention will be from Afterburner, Inc., a group of former fighter pilots who specialize in teaching the principles of their “Flawless Execution” model, which was developed from a combination of business experience and strategic and tactical military execution and designed to maximize the success of a company.

ColorTyme isn’t the only organization to work with Afterburner to maximize the potential of its company. Tom Coughlin, the head coach of the New York Giants, looked to Afterburner’s Flawless Execution model to help get his team on the right track. He called Afterburner founder and CEO Jim Murphy, who customized a program for the team focused on its core processes of plan, brief, execute and debrief. While continuing to work with Afterburner throughout the season and into the playoffs, the Giants experienced a turnaround that concluded with a victory in the Super Bowl.

The Final Night activity will take attendees to the Frontiers of Flight Museum at historic Love Field in Dallas. Opened in 2004, the 100,000 square foot facility houses over 30 aircraft and space vehicles, exhibits and more, all in a pair of buildings built to replicate aircraft hangers. From a full-size model of the 1903 Wright Flyer to the original Apollo 7 command module, the Flight Museum will allow attendees to witness the history of aviation up close as they tour the facility.
