Wait Nearly Over for "Caniacs" in Leon Valley

Area’s first Raising Cane’s Set to Open Nov. 8 on Bandera Road

LEON VALLEY, TX (November 1, 2012) – Chicken finger lovers passing by the Raising Cane’s restaurant under construction on Bandera Road can practically taste the premium tenderloins, crinkle-cut fries, Texas Toast, sweet tea and, of course, that secret recipe Cane’s sauce already.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will open its first restaurant in Leon Valley at Bandera and Huebner on Thursday, November 8. Cane’s newest location at 7020 Bandera Road will be Cane’s 1st restaurant in the Leon Valley area, the 41st in Texas, and the 141st overall across 17 states. Cane’s has done brisk business in its location at the San Antonio International Airport since its 2010 opening.

“It’s been a long time coming, but we couldn’t be more excited to finally be making our big push into the San Antonio area,” said Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s. “We believe this is a perfect market for our brand, and we intend to bring great jobs, great chicken finger meals and great community support to Leon Valley and beyond over the months and years ahead.”

Known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – Raising Cane’s is in the midst of a rapid expansion across Texas and other states. The company is a recognized industry leader in customer service and is distinguished by its generous support of the communities it serves.

On November 2nd, from 9:00 AM to noon, General Manager Bryce Pohlmeier and his crewmembers are working at the Braundera Family YMCA, helping with several painting and cleaning projects.

“Active support in our local communities is ingrained in Raising Cane’s corporate DNA, so you’ll be seeing us getting heavily involved in Leon Valley’s schools and non-profit organizations over the coming months and years,” said Pohlmeier, a San Antonio native.

A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony will be conducted at the restaurant at 9:15 AM on November 8th, in conjunction with the Leon Valley Chamber of Commerce and several city officials. First-time visitors to the ceremonies are in for a treat, as 45-50 newly hired crewmembers will be performing their traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the new location in unique Cane’s fashion.

Doors will open to the public at 10:00 AM. The first 100 dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Leon Valley Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit. (The voucher is not valid on Opening Day.) In many expansion markets, customers camp out overnight to be among the first to enjoy Cane’s offerings.

Between November 8 and 15, Leon Valley customers will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with Free Cane’s for a Year.
