Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) April 04, 2013 - Saturday, April 13th from 2p.m. until 10 p.m., will mark the 2nd Annual Shroomstock Springfest at the Mellow Mushroom in Orlando, located at 11680 East Colonial Drive.

“After a very successful and fun event last August, we knew we had to bring Shroomstock back to Orlando in 2013,” states Stacey Votey, owner of the Orlando and Winter Park Mellow Mushroom locations.

In addition to the large space of restaurant seating for over 250, Mellow will have a fenced off area to accommodate increased capacity of up to 750 people for this special event.

The 2nd Annual Shroomstock Beer and Music Festival includes many exciting opportunities:

Music: Enjoy the sound of homegrown bands with this exciting lineup.

• 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Sara Strickhouser, a local musician that serenades with smooth acoustic covers.
• 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Luna Bellum captures the sound of the local scene and adds a relaxed vibe. Wyatt Norton, Lead Singer of Luna Bellum describes their sound as “a mixture of reggae, rock and funk. We play together every week and new things always come to the table.”
• 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The Legendary JC’s will be rocking their soulful blues sounds that will make you want to get up and groove.
• 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The Hip Abduction Band, a Florida- based 7 piece band that mixes African traditions with rock and reggae styles in order to create their own unique sound. With heavy emphasis placed on dub-reggae inspired bass lines, funky afro beat percussion and a 2 piece horn section, concerts never fail to turn into a nonstop dance party.

Beer:

Shroomstock will feature several craft beers from brewers from our region and beyond, including Abita, Shiner, Sam Adams, Breckenridge, Orange Blossom Pilsner, Terrapin Beer Company, Traveler Beer Company, and the Central Florida Homebrewers Association. Guests can purchase a 12 oz. beer from these featured breweries for only $3 each. And for those looking to learn a thing or two about beer, the Central Florida Homebrewers Association will be demonstrating the art of brewing beer.
