July 12, 2013 // Franchising.com // Madison Heights, Mich. - Rochester-based DBA Worldwide, the advertising agency of record for Hungry Howie’s Pizza, was recently presented with an Emmy Award by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) for excellence in commercial production. DBA Worldwide delivered the innovative Hungry Howie’s Ad Guys Campaign, which included three 30-second spots: “Fire,” “Jingle,” and “Fat Birds.”

Founded in 1973, Madison Heights, Mich.-based Hungry Howie’s Pizza & Subs, Inc. is the originator of the Flavored Crust Pizza. The menu also includes oven-baked calzone-style subs, chicken wings and tenders, bread and salads. With more than 550 locations in 20 states, the company signed 15 new franchise agreements and opened 10 locations in 2012. This year Hungry Howie’s plans to sign 30 agreements and open 25 locations, targeting markets in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas and California for growth.
