San Diego, Calif. (August 1, 2013) – Hot Dog on a StickTM, an American icon since 1946, just made life easier for its beach going patrons with the opening of the popular chain’s location at Belmont Park in San Diego. Mission Beach guests can now pick up and enjoy fresh lemonade, yummy hot dogs cooked fresh to order, and other delicious bites on a stick while enjoying the ocean breeze and beachfront dining. This is the company’s second beachfront location, since opening its original location in Santa Monica over 67 years ago.
Belmont Park, a popular tourist attraction in Mission Beach since 1925, has recently undergone renovationsincluding the resurfacing of the famous FlowBarrel wave machine and the addition of the new rooftop bar and restaurant Cannonball, as well as numerous cosmetic revitalizations and upgrades throughout the amusement park and WaveHouse. Upcoming projects for the park include the remodeling of the WaveHouse Athletic Club and the new beachfront restaurant conceptualization of the old Soundwave space.
