Brian Lefort Joins Intellectual Property Practice at FaegreBD

March 25, 2014 // Franchising.com // Boulder - Brian Lefort has joined Faegre Baker Daniels' growing intellectual property (IP) practice as counsel. Lefort brings more than 15 years of IP experience in both law firm and corporate environments.

In his practice at FaegreBD, Lefort assists clients with patent and trademark portfolio creation, freedom-to-operate and competitive landscaping analysis, due diligence evaluations, and technology transactions. Lefort works with a range of clients, from emerging companies to established businesses, in a variety of industries, including medical device, software, telecommunications and aerospace.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Lefort was chief intellectual property counsel for Covidien's Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions division, where he led the division's global intellectual property strategy. Prior to that, he was an associate at Jones Day, where he practiced patent litigation and patent prosecution.

Lefort received his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
