Iceborn Chosen as “Best Of The Best Top Veteran-Friendly Franchises” by U.S. Veterans Magazine

May 22, 2014 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville, FL – Ice House America, the pioneer in automated ice and water vending technology, is proud to announce that its franchise brand, IceBorn, has been chosen as one of the nation's "Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Franchises" by The U.S. Veterans Magazine. U.S. Veterans Magazine (USVM) polls hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies for its 2014 "Best of the Best" evaluations.

The lists were compiled from market research, independent research, diversity conference participation and survey responses that were performed by DiversityComm's agents and/or affiliates. This year, more than 250 companies and institutions participated. USVM's goal is to open up employment, business and supplier opportunities within the federal government and corporate America for veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, spouses and veteran business owners.

"IceBorn is thrilled to have been chosen as a 'The Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Franchises.' We truly believe that veterans have the necessary skills needed to run a business and succeed in today's highly competitive market place," says Michael Little, vice president of marketing, Ice House America. "Ice House America is honored to be supporting veterans who are already established and for those currently in a life changing transition going from the military to civilian life. An IceBorn vending franchise gives veterans the opportunity to own their own business."

Ice House America began franchising its IceBorn brand in May 2012 and currently has commitments for over 1,800 units across 19 states, which is in addition to Ice House America's network of 2,700 existing independently owned and operated units.

"Today's service men and women know that victory requires dedication to the mission, constant improvement and fearless leadership," says Mona Lisa Faris, president and publisher of the U.S. Veterans Magazine. "These top franchisors recognize the value of putting their own missions into the capable hands of veterans."

Ice House America, also a participant in the International Franchise Association's VetFran program, will waive the franchise fee and the first 12 months of royalties to all qualifying military veterans.
