John McIntire Joins Patent Team at FaegreBD

June 13, 2014 // Franchising.com // Minneapolis - Faegre Baker Daniels is proud to announce that John McIntire has joined the intellectual property practice as an associate patent attorney. He drafts and prosecutes patents and handles patent invalidity and non-infringement investigations and opinions. McIntire advises clients in the fields of chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, including the semiconductor, solid-state sensor, medical device, aerospace, process control, magnetic recording, energy and telecommunications industries.

Previously, McIntire was an associate in the IP practice at Kinney & Lange, P.A. in Minneapolis. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked for more than 20 years as lead engineer and engineering manager at Emerson Process Management and Unisys. In his various roles, McIntire oversaw a range of engineering projects and managed solid-state engineering process development and new product development. He is the co-inventor of several patents related process control instrumentation.

McIntire earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He also holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor of chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
