The leading Mediterranean cuisine brand renowned for its focus on delicious and nutritious meals - fresh-baked pitas, falafels and hand-marinated shawarmas - is featuring a different, uniquely delicious falafel each week for three weeks.
International Falafel Day is June 12, but the celebration kicks off on Monday, May 22, when Garbanzo will “Free the Falafel” by treating its guests to a complimentary order of fresh, hand-made falafels and a side of scratch-made sauces (Mediterranean Garlic, Red Chili and Tzatiki), with the purchase of any meal!
Loyal Garbanzo fans and anyone into simple, delicious food are also invited to experience an original new falafel flavor each week over the next three weeks:
“We’ll be serving up thousands of free falafels across the country in celebration of the best food on the planet,” said James Park, CEO of the Denver-based chain of 23 restaurants. “For starters, nobody does falafels better than Garbanzo. But we also recognize that lots of folks still don’t know what the heck a falafel is, and that’s something we aim to change as part of our mission to make fresh Mediterranean cuisine a mainstream favorite across the United States.”
The falafel has been around for thousands of years, with little change. It has the same look, the same shape and the same delicious flavor that was developed in the Mediterranean centuries ago. Garbanzo is spicing the falafel up by adding a few different flavors, while staying true to its traditional food standards to ensure that the new falafels are still simple, clean and good for you.
In addition, as a special Father’s Day treat, the Glendale location will open early for Garbanzo’s first-annual Falafel Waffle Day. From 7 - 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 18 only, three special menu items will be available for dine-in and take-out:
