September 25, 2017 // Franchising.com // LIVONIA, Mich. - Following the devastation of Hurricane Irma throughout the state of Florida, Pet Supplies Plus has announced it will aid pet victims and shelters to help the recovery efforts.
With many animal rescue facilities left in dire straits, the national neighborhood pet retailer sent 10 pallets of food and treats from its Seymour, Ind., distribution center to the Tri County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, Fla., which covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in Florida.
Additionally, Pet Supplies Plus will be sending two pallets of food and supplies to Amber’s Animal Outreach (Loxahatchee), three to Hollydogs Greyhound Adoption (Bonita Springs) and two to Chain of Love Abandoned Animals Rescue (Homestead) to keep pets as healthy as possible during the recovery period.
“The impact of Hurricane Irma on people and pets broke our hearts at Pet Supplies Plus and we are going to do everything we can to help with recovery efforts in Florida,” said Pet Supplies Plus CEO Chris Rowland. “We will send down as much food and supplies as we possibly can to ensure that animal shelters have enough to keep pets safe and healthy.”
