Mellow Mushroom Donates 20k Pizzas to Charities and Frontline Workers

November 30, 2020 // Franchising.com // Atlanta, Ga. - Mellow Mushroom restaurants in 125 cities across the U.S. donated more than 20k pizzas during its A Pie for A Pie™ community giving program held earlier this year. The pies helped to feed the more than 85 charities and frontline workers serving those affected by COVID-19.

During the A Pie for A Pie event, for every pizza purchased by a guest at their local restaurant, Mellow Mushroom donated a pizza to an area charity or organization.

“We are so thankful for every person who came to a Mellow Mushroom and purchased a pie to support a local charity and the frontline workers,” said Anne Mejia, Mellow Mushroom Vice President Brand Development. “We are grateful that Mellow Mushroom store owners are part of the fabric of the communities where Mellow Mushrooms are located and we’re happy to give back to the people and organizations in those communities.”

The Mushroom Council and HGI partnered with Mellow Mushroom to make the program possible.
