Barberitos Founder and CEO Downing Barber opened the first Barberitos location in downtown Athens. Since its inception in 2000, Barberitos has grown into an award-winning restaurant with more than 50 locations throughout seven southeastern states.
“While Barberitos has seen so much growth in the last 22 years, our first-class procedures and company values have remained at the core of our restaurants since the beginning,” Barber said. “I am proud to say that our menu items are still prepared and cooked in-house every day, and, for the past 22 years, all of our team members are still committed to serving our guests high-quality food while serving our communities in so many ways.”
As a southwestern grille and cantina, Barberitos is dedicated to serving farm-fresh, high-quality food in an efficient manner. All of the restaurants’ menu items are made in-house daily, including hand-smashed guacamole, homemade salsas, fresh-cut vegetables, as well as chicken, pork, steak, turkey, tofu, rice and beans.
