The location is set to open early next year and will serve communities from West Seattle down through SeaTac and Northeast Tacoma, in addition to Vashon and Maury Islands. Shankar is AtWork’s third franchise owner in the state.
Shankar is originally from India and has lived in the Seattle area for nearly three decades. With a background in technology, he has worked for Seattle-based technology companies including Microsoft, before going into business for himself.
“Seattle is known as a tech hub, but there is a huge staffing opportunity in several booming industries,” said Shankar. “My goal is to make AtWork of SeaTac the go-to resource for local job seekers looking for temporary or permanent positions and growing businesses seeking qualified, intelligent candidates.”
