February 09, 2026 // Franchising.com // BATAVIA, Ill. – Bambu announced a new location inside Walmart, opening January 14. The Batavia shop marks Bambu’s first Walmart location.
The Batavia location operates as part of Bambu’s store-within-a-store model, bringing authentic drinks and a welcoming atmosphere to a compact retail space. This setup makes the brand’s signature dessert drinks more accessible while maintaining the quality, presentation, and guest experience that define Bambu.
“This opening reflects our focus on bringing Bambu directly to guests in their daily routines,” said Marc Geman, CEO of Bambu. “Leasing space inside Walmart allows us to introduce our brand’s offerings to customers in Batavia.”
The location features a curated menu designed to appeal to both first-time and returning guests. Offerings include smoothies, boba teas, traditional Vietnamese coffee brewed using the phin drip method and freshly made mochi-style waffles. Clear menu highlights and approachable flavor profiles help guests explore the brand while honoring its Vietnamese heritage.
“Batavia guests can experience the distinctive taste and crafted quality that define Bambu,” said Willy Mathew, Franchisee. “Each item is carefully prepared to combine heritage-inspired authenticity with a modern experience. The new location allows guests to enjoy these drinks in a convenient setting, making it easy to discover new flavors and share memorable moments with family and friends.”
Following its official opening on January 14, guests can enjoy handcrafted drinks daily during Walmart store hours, Sunday through Saturday, at the Batavia Bambu.
