February 24, 2026 // Franchising.com // Carmel, Indiana — Alanna Clark, owner of HomeWell Care Services in Carmel, Indiana, has been named a Franchisee Excellence Awards recipient by Franchise Business Review (FBR). Clark was selected from hundreds of franchisee nominations across North America in recognition of her business performance, leadership, and community engagement.
“I was surprised and incredibly thankful upon hearing the news,” said Clark. “My mind immediately went to the people who have supported me along the way — my family, our team of knowledgeable and dedicated staff, and our community of clients, caregivers, and referral partners who have trusted me and our agency.”
Clark launched her HomeWell Care Services agency on July 31, 2024, and quickly emerged as a high-performing owner within the HomeWell system. From launch through December 16, 2025 (time of nomination), her agency generated $1,670,798 in lifetime revenue — more than triple the corporate benchmark goal for the same timeframe. During that period, the agency supported 32 active clients, employed 76 caregivers, and scheduled 1,278 billable hours in a single week.
“Alanna’s results speak for themselves, but what truly sets her apart is how intentionally she leads,” said Brad Himmeger, Vice President of Franchise Services at HomeWell Franchising. “She’s built a strong team, exceeded benchmarks, and remained deeply engaged with her community — all within her first year and a half as an owner.”
Reflecting on her experience as an owner, Clark said that a key catalyst behind the agency’s growth was a shift toward quality over quantity.
“Instead of trying to be everywhere, I became much more intentional about building strong, genuine relationships with our referral partners,” she said. “That thoughtful approach helped us become a trusted resource in the community, rather than just another agency.”
Community engagement remains central to Clark’s approach. She maintains a variety of referral sources across the local care continuum and is actively involved with senior care organizations, VA-related referral initiatives, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Along with referrals, Clark attributes her agency’s growth to its internal culture. Her agency is supported by a four-person leadership team along with her caregiving staff, allowing it to scale while maintaining operational stability and service quality.
“We have worked hard internally to build a family-like culture on our team,” she said. “We want our caregivers to feel supported, valued, and heard. That care and respect naturally carries over into how they show up for our clients.”
