March 05, 2026 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its first location in New Jersey’s Gloucester County, SYNERGY HomeCare in Glassboro.
The company is owned and operated by Mable Philip, who has over 20 years of experience in technology and healthcare operations. Philip decided to make the full-time move to home care after realizing her family was already providing the same hands-on support to loved ones that defines professional caregiving.
Philip and her team of compassionate caregivers will assist residents throughout Blackwood, Turnersville, Gloucester Township, Glassboro, Grenloch, Harrisonville, Mullica Hill, Pitman, and Sewell/Washington Township with a wide variety of non-medical, in-home care services, from companion care to personal care and respite care.
Philip’s time in healthcare provided her with firsthand insight into the evolving needs of residents throughout southern New Jersey, prompting her to realize the growing demand for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over 65. According to the AARP, over 80% of this demographic report wanting to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
Much of Philip’s time as a healthcare professional was on the operations side, where she worked with hospitals and healthcare organizations, coordinating their systems and technology, and overseeing quality control. Although she wasn’t tasked with providing hands-on care herself, she was intimately involved with allocating care resources and ensuring that client needs were met.
“Opening a caregiving company felt like a natural extension of the values that have guided me throughout both my professional and personal life,” said Philip. “My past career taught me that attention to detail is everything, and that’s especially true in an industry as person-centric as home care. Our clients aren’t just data points; they’re loved ones, they’re friends, and they’re family. My goal is to become a consistent presence for families in need, and to assure them that they’ll always have someone there to take care of them.”
Before considering the move to home care, Philip was already a natural caregiver. From her childhood to today, she has always been the person that family members, friends, and neighbors could rely on whenever they needed a helping hand.
“I believe people deserve to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect, especially at vulnerable points of their lives,” said Philip. “As a locally owned business defined by our strong family values, we’re fully committed to providing our community with the grace, dignity, and compassion that they deserve.”
Gloucester County is home to several close-knit suburban communities, with a growing population of older adults who want to age in place. However, many of these individuals live with chronic conditions or disabilities that require caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
