H&H Bagels Launches “Real Food. Made to Order.” Campaign

As the Iconic NYC Brand Continues Expansion with More Than 100 Signed Franchises Nationwide, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Quality

July 13, 2026 // Franchising.com // New York, NY: H&H Bagels, the iconic New York City bagel brand, announced its Real Food. Made to Order. campaign, highlighting the brand’s unwavering commitment to using best-in-class ingredients and hand-crafted products. This campaign launches as the legacy brand surpasses more than 100 signed franchise agreements nationwide and opening more than 20 locations coast-to-coast, underscoring a philosophy that has guided the team’s growth: never compromising quality for scale.

Founded on Manhattan’s Upper West Side in 1972, H&H Bagels has become synonymous with the quintessential New York City bagel, earning a devoted following and appearances in cultural touchstones including Sex and the City and Seinfeld.

The commitment at H&H begins with the bagel itself. Made using the original H&H recipe, every bagel is crafted with unbromated, unbleached flour, kettle-boiled in New York City water, then baked fresh on-site all day, before being sliced and prepped to each customer’s order. Free from artificial preservatives and made with non-GMO ingredients, each bagel delivers 13 grams of protein and 4 grams of dietary fiber per serving, proof that exceptional taste starts with exceptional ingredients.

The same philosophy extends across the entire menu with H&H relying upon real food and ingredients including:

Even the smallest details reflect H&H’s commitment to real food: the Blueberry and Cinnamon Raisin bagels are made with real fruit folded into the dough while the flavored cream cheese varieties such as Scallion, Vegetable, Strawberry, and Spicy Scallion, are hand-mixed with fresh-cut vegetables, fruit, and real ingredients – never relying on artificial flavors or shortcuts. Additionally, freshly ground, small-batch coffee is brewed throughout the day, with H&H serving a custom blend and nitro cold brew on tap.

Since taking the helm in 2014, CEO Jay Rushin has led the brand’s national expansion while preserving the traditions that earned H&H’s right as an institution. Rushin’s connection to the company is deeply personal, with family ties to the brand that dates back to the 1980s. He manages the company with a small group of just four executive leaders responsible for expanding the business from one remaining shop in New York City to over 20 locations across the country. This growth is set to continue with new markets launching soon, including Houston and Salt Lake City, and more than 100 signed franchises in cities across the nation.

"As we've grown, we've refused to cut corners. Real ingredients, made-to-order food, and authentic New York bagels will always come before faster or cheaper” says CEO Jay Rushin.

H&H Bagels remains focused on sustainable growth rooted in operational excellence and product integrity. The Real Food. Made to Order. campaign reinforces the brand's belief that authentic ingredients and freshly prepared food are what continue to set H&H apart as the brand brings the authentic New York bagel experience to communities nationwide.
