The Academy, acquired in February 2026, is owned and operated by Nishant Kumar and his wife, Shilpa Sahay, who holds a doctorate in education, bringing a pedagogical perspective to families in Morris County.
"My background gives me a unique perspective on early childhood development," said Sahay. "After completing my first master's degree in social work back in Delhi, India, I earned a second master's degree in international education in the U.S. followed by a doctorate in education from the University of Florida. For the past six years, I taught early childhood education master's students before transitioning to owning and operating an educational child care center of my own."
Since the ownership transition, Kiddie Academy of Florham Park has continued to thrive while retaining its veteran staff, many of whom have been with the Academy through its entire 13-year history.
