MORRISTOWN, NJ – Villa Enterprises and its affiliates, one of the country’s fastest growing franchisors of multiple restaurant concepts, is proud to announce the opening of a new Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen at Albany International Airport. The restaurant is centrally located in the main terminal and opened on June 25, 2006.
On July 6, a special grand opening celebration was held with local politicians. Albany County Executive Michael Breslin, Colonie Town Supervisor Mary Brizzell, Assembly
Speaker Sheldon Silver, and members of the Albany County Legislature marked the opening of the store by making pizza with local children.
The restaurant will serve breakfast in additional to the usual Villa offerings, to offer convenience to travelers throughout all day parts. “We have had a great response from travelers and also from airport employees,” says Jeff Blaze, Regional Director – East for Villa Enterprises. This event marks the beginning of numerous openings in upstate New York. Two more Villa concepts, Green Leaf’s (a salad bar concept) and Bananas (a fresh fruit and smoothies concept) are scheduled to open at Albany International Airport later this year. Additionally, seven Villa Enterprises restaurants are due to open within the next twelve months in travel plazas on the New York Thruway.
In the past five years, Villa Enterprises and its affiliates have more than doubled in size. Villa Enterprise and its affiliates now have over 300 stores in 38 states and six countries with approximately sixty percent of the locations being corporately managed. In addition to Villa and Cozzoli’s Pizza®, Villa Enterprises and affiliates operate Casa Java (sm) and the Everything Yogurt Brands, which include Green Leaf’s (sm), Bananas® and South Philly Steaks & Fries®.
Fresh baked pizza, homemade pasta, stuffed strombolis, specialty salads and fresh made Italian entrees all add up to the perfect Fresh Italian Kitchen.
