Vocelli Pizza Caters Super Bowl Sunday for Navy Midshipmen
ANNAPOLIS, Md., Feb. 4 // PRNewswire // -- After winning an informal taste-test by US Naval Academy midshipmen, 7 Vocelli Pizza stores will work together to fill a 3,000-pizza order placed with Eric Chadwick and Mark Broadhurst's Annapolis-area Vocelli Pizza franchises. 1,500 cheese and 1,500 pepperoni 14 inch pizzas will be delivered to the US Naval Academy at 4:30pm this Sunday, to feed the thousands of midshipmen cheering on their favorite Super Bowl contenders.
Vocelli Pizza franchises in Bayridge, Westminster, Ellicott City, Cockeysville, Lanham, Bowie, and Edgewater will all participate in the production of the 3,000 pizzas, and deliver them using 4 heated delivery trucks.
Bryan Arthur, director of operations for Eric Chadwick and Mark Broadhurst's three Vocelli Pizza franchise locations, engineered the arrangement with the Naval Academy and coordinated with other Vocelli Pizza franchise owners to accommodate the order. "We are fortunate to be a part of the Naval Academy's Super Bowl party and to be able to show our appreciation for their noble service," said Arthur.
"Our store averages 1,000 pizzas a week, so while accommodating a 3,000 pizza order is a challenge, it's completely within our capabilities," said Lanham Vocelli Pizza franchise owner Dan Foster. "We're excited to have the opportunity to cater to the men and women who serve our country." Foster says that Super Bowl Sunday is typically the busiest day of the year for his Vocelli Pizza store.
