LOS ANGELES, July 7, 2011 // PRNewswire // -- Downtown Los Angeles will become a little more attractive and a lot more fun when the Hooters of Downtown Los Angeles hosts its grand opening celebration on July 11th, starting at 11am. Hooters, the well-known restaurant chain which features a casual beach-theme atmosphere, signature chicken wings and service provided by the All-American cheerleaders, will celebrate its flagship location opening with a 100,000 Chicken Wing Giveaway!
A grand opening VIP Party will be held at the Hooters of Downtown Los Angeles location on Saturday, July 9th at 1248 S. Figueroa St., and will include celebrity athletes and the Los Angeles Kings Ice Crew. Proceeds from the VIP Party will go to the Kings Care Foundation.
In addition to the VIP Party, the Hooters of Downtown Los Angeles will celebrate the grand opening by giving away free chicken wings for a year to the first 100 people who arrive at 11am on Monday, July 11th. Continuing the celebrations through the week, Hooters will host the AM570 KLAC Annual Christmas in July party on July 15th and will give away free chicken wings for a year to the first 100 people who arrive at 3pm.

We hope to become a thriving part of the local community and run a restaurant known for its great food and outstanding service," said Rick Leukert, CEO of the Hooters franchise in Southern California, Washington and Oregon. The new 7300 square foot location will feature forty large high definition flat screen televisions, two 200-inch high definition television screens and another 150-inch high definition television. There will be seating for 270 guests as well as a full liquor bar. The location will also be home to the new Fox Sports Broadcasting booth where AM570 KLAC will broadcast live during sporting events and concerts in the area.
Hooters is involved with many charities and organizations nationwide and is excited to bring that involvement to Downtown Los Angeles. Since the inception, Hooters has donated over $8 million to causes nationwide through HOO.C.E.F, the Hooters Community Endowment Fund.
