June 7,2012 - Stafford, VA - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Stafford on June 6. Operator Pat Foley held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wed., June 6 to Sun., June 10 to support the Semper Fi Fund.
The Semper Fi Fund is a nonprofit set up to provide immediate financial support for injured and critically ill members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. They direct urgently needed resources to post 9-11 Marines and Sailors, as well as members of the Army, Air Force or Coast Guard who serve in support of Marine forces.
The new restaurant, located at 1495 Stafford Market Place, circulated 15,000 coupons throughout the community, which offered a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Semper Fi Fund.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s continued its steady growth in 2011 opening 69 new restaurants throughout the country, a 15 percent increase overall. The popular sub shop wins best sub awards in virtually every market it enters.
