April 09, 2013 // Franchising.com // Greenbelt, MD - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Greenbelt on March 20. Franchise owner Danny Malamis held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 20 to Sunday, March 24 to support Greenbelt Elementary School, Greenbelt High School, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
The new restaurant, located at 6000 Greenbelt Road, circulated 25,000 coupons and flyers throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Greenbelt Elementary School, Greenbelt High School, and Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
