December 5, 2013 - Southlake, TX - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Southlake on December 4. Franchise owners Bryan Selden, Jeff Worthen and Chad Huffhines held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8 to support the Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE).
The new restaurant, located at 2645 E. Southlake Boulevard, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to GRACE. Customers presented the fundraising coupon to participate.
Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE) is a Grapevine, Texas based non-profit relief agency which provides food, clothing, financial assistance, and other vital necessities to people who are struggling with a limited income or recent emergency. The philosophy of GRACE is that encouraging self-sufficiency will, in turn, encourage community cohesiveness. Compassion and assistance are offered as a response to God's grace by local churches in partnership with municipalities, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
