June 04, 2015 // Franchising.com // Athens, GA - On Saturday, June 6, Dickey’s Barbecue’s lead chef and chairman, Roland Dickey, Sr. will be celebrating barbecue lovers in Athens with a Guest Appreciation Event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests will get a chance to beef up their barbecue skills just in time for summer when Mr. Dickey gives out 150 free autographed copies of his cookbook, Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook.
“I love an opportunity to meet with our guests and owners across the country,” said chairman, Roland Dickey, Sr. “I’m excited to celebrate with the barbecue lovers in Athens and hand out a free barbecue for year prize to a lucky guest!”
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Athens location will serve $2 pulled pork sandwiches and gadio station Country 106.1 is on-site. One lucky winner will receive free barbecue for an entire year. Dickey’s Barbecue goodies including t-shirts, koozies, sunglasses and more will also be available.
