SONIC Announces Financing Transaction

OKLAHOMA CITY - March 29, 2016 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - SONIC Corp. (NASDAQ:SONC), the nation's largest chain of drive-in restaurants, today announced that certain of its subsidiaries intend to complete a financing transaction, which will include prepaying the 2011-1 Senior Secured Fixed Rate Notes ("2011 Notes") with proceeds from the sale of a new series of securitized debt, as well as refinancing the 2011-1 Variable Funding Senior Secured Notes, Class A-1 ("the 2011 VFN").

The consummation of the offering is subject to market and other conditions and is anticipated to close in the fiscal third quarter of 2016. However, there can be no assurance that Company's subsidiaries will be able to successfully complete the refinancing transaction, either on the terms described or at all.
