October 15, 2026 // Franchising.com // PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla – Smalls Sliders, the industry-disrupting cheeseburger slider brand, has signed a multi-unit development agreement to bring four Cans to Florida’s Atlantic Coast, further expanding the brand’s footprint across high-growth markets in the state. Seasoned entrepreneurs Joe Sloboda and Stanley Tsung of Stacked Hospitality will lead the development.
Sloboda and Tsung bring decades of combined experience developing and operating multi-unit restaurant concepts across Florida and internationally. The duo has successfully grown franchise brands throughout Florida, Brazil, and Taiwan, building a strong track record of identifying high-potential concepts and introducing them to new markets. Smalls Sliders will become the fourth concept they have brought to South Florida.
The group plans to develop four Cans across a territory spanning Florida’s Space Coast to as far south as Jensen Beach and throughout the Treasure Coast. Sloboda and Tsung expect to open their first Can in Port St. Lucie, marking Smalls Sliders’ debut in the region.
“South Florida is a dynamic market with communities that embrace convenient, high-quality dining concepts, making it a strong fit for Smalls Sliders,” said Sloboda. “We see tremendous potential to build a meaningful presence here and introduce more guests to the brand’s unique experience. As we grow, our focus will be on becoming part of the communities we serve and creating Cans that people are eager to visit again and again.”
Sloboda has called South Florida home since the early 1980s, while Tsung established roots in the region after immigrating from Brazil to Fort Lauderdale in 2014. Together, their ties to the area give them a strong connection to the communities where they plan to grow. The Stacked Hospitality partners will take an active role in developing and operating each Can, pairing their local market knowledge with Smalls Sliders’ craveable menu and streamlined operating model. Together, they aim to establish Smalls Sliders as a go-to burger destination along Florida’s Atlantic Coast.
“Florida continues to play an important role in Smalls Sliders’ growth story, and expanding along the Atlantic Coast is a natural next step for the brand,” said Richard Leveille, Vice President of Franchise Development for Smalls Sliders. “Joe and Stanley bring extensive operating experience and a strong understanding of the communities they plan to serve. Their agreement allows us to introduce the Smalls experience to a new part of the state while building on the momentum we’ve already established across Florida.”
The agreement builds on Smalls Sliders’ growing presence throughout Florida, where the brand has recently opened Cans in markets including Ocala and Pensacola. Sloboda and Tsung are actively scouting sites for their first locations along the Atlantic Coast.
Smalls Sliders serves fresh, cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries and hand-spun milkshakes from its signature Smorange™-colored shipping containers, known as “Cans.” The brand’s deliberately simple menu prioritizes quality and speed. Since opening its first location in 2019, Smalls Sliders has grown to more than 50 open Cans, with hundreds more in development across 30 states, attracting experienced multi-brand franchisees nationwide.
As Smalls Sliders continues its expansion in the region, the brand is actively seeking real estate opportunities throughout the market. The team is evaluating sites for future Cans and encourages those interested in connecting with the brand to contact realestate@smallssliders.com and Nate Minnis at nate.minnis@smallssliders.com.
