About Comfort Keepers
Comfort Keepers® is dedicated to providing in-home care to seniors and others who need help with activities of daily living. Their goal is to allow people to stay in their own homes versus seeking other care alternatives. We provide care that helps enrich our clients' lives and helps them maintain the highest possible level of independent living.
Each Comfort Keeper is carefully selected, screened and trained for the capable and compassionate care. Each Comfort Keeper is screened through extensive background checks, is insured and bonded, and is covered by Workers' Compensation insurance to protect our clients and their families.
Company History
The Comfort Keepers'® story began in 1997 when Kris Clum, a registered nurse in home healthcare, experienced the need first hand. Sometimes the requests were simple – a loaf of bread or a quart of milk. Sometimes, it was simply a request for a few minutes of conversation to brighten the day.
However, as a nurse, she was only allowed to tend to her patients' "medical" needs. Kris and her entrepreneurial husband, Jerry Clum, Jr., knew they could provide a solution.
Today, that solution is known as Comfort Keepers. Comfort Keepers provides in-home care to thousands of people.
Comfort Keepers now offers in-home care in over 550 franchised offices throughout the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
The Comfort Keepers franchise system is comprised of a network of caring individuals committed to providing comforting care solutions. In fact, many of our owners were drawn to this business as a result of their own experiences in caring for a loved one.
