Guest Feedback Leads to New Dessert at Taco John’s®

September 03, 2014 - Taco John's® believes you can learn a lot by listening to your customers. After observing how people were ordering a dessert at the Mexican quick service restaurant chain, Taco John's® realized it had an opportunity to take the feedback and turn it into a new menu item.

"Instead of ordering Cini-Sopapilla Bites® as originally offered, with either cinnamon sugar or icing, we saw guests consistently asking for the dessert with both toppings. So we decided to combine the two flavors and call the new dessert Mexican Donut Bites," says Bob Karisny, Vice President for Menu Strategy and Innovation at Taco John's®. "We also see this as an opportunity to leverage growing consumer demand for smaller dessert options."

Mexican Donut Bites are bite-sized pastry puffs rolled in cinnamon sugar then glazed with rich cream cheese icing made fresh and hot with every order.
