International Franchise Association Brings its 2008 Franchise & Finance Symposium for Women, Minorities and Veterans to Prince George's County

Largo, MD (PRWEB) March 17, 2008 -- County Executive Jack B. Johnson co-hosts the 2008 Franchise & Finance Symposium with the Prince George's County Small Business Initiative, Prince George's Financial Services Corporation, The International Franchise Association (IFA), and Congressman Albert R. Wynn, 4th District Maryland. The Symposium will focus on franchise opportunities for women, minorities and veterans. It will also provide franchise companies with opportunities to identify new prospects and markets. The event is being held on Thursday, March 20, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center on the campus of the University of Maryland in College Park. This is the first time that IFA has held this symposium outside of Washington, D.C.

The Program Includes:

Developers Panel:

Local developers will participate in an opening panel discussion that will highlight key development projects in the county. They will also share the desired retail mix for specific projects and site availability for those projects.

Franchisor Exhibits:

Learn about the nationwide companies that are actively seeking franchisee partners for new opportunities in Prince George's County. Exhibitors include Dunkin Brands Franchising, FranFit, EWL Financial, Exxon Mobil and many more.

Fundamentals of Franchising:

What you need to know to be a successful franchisee. Topics include: Picking the right franchise; finding the right location for your franchise; raising capital; filing the correct legal documents; ensuring you take advantage of the tax incentives and other financial assistance you qualify for; and much more.
